This Hertfordshire interior design project was a full refurbishment of a family home, with Samantha Wren Interiors responsible for every element of the design. The aim was a house with a real sense of elegance and grandeur that still feels relaxed and practical for the family who live in it.

The house was planned in two parts. The family areas were designed for everyday life, with comfortable, hard wearing rooms that suit busy days and quiet evenings alike. The formal rooms were created for entertaining, with a more polished, generous feel for hosting family and friends.

A bespoke joinery package was designed, made and installed throughout, giving each room the storage and function it needs while keeping a calm, uncluttered look. Furniture, lighting and soft furnishings were all chosen to tie the family and formal spaces together, so the house feels consistent from room to room.

The result is a timeless, welcoming home that works as well for a family supper as it does for a dinner party.
