This Surrey Hills interior design project was for a large family home within a conservation area, and the interiors were designed throughout to suit the house and its setting. Samantha Wren Interiors provided a full interior design package, creating rooms that feel warm and timeless while working hard for a busy family.

The grand staircase is one of the defining features of the house, finished with a handrail clad in metal and leather that brings a crafted, tactile quality to the entrance. At the heart of the home, the kitchen was planned to be practical and enduring, using timeless materials so it can serve as a well used hub for family life for years to come.

Practical spaces were given the same care as the main rooms. A boot room was designed for a working family, complete with a dog shower, so muddy walks and busy mornings are easily managed. The house has two powder rooms: one at the back of the house for everyday use, and a guest powder room with a moody, sophisticated feel.

Soft furnishings, lighting and sanitaryware were all specified by the studio, giving interiors that are elegant yet comfortable to live in.
