Children’s Spaces
Children’s bedrooms are such fun to design. Our aim is to balance between practicality and creative personal touches.

On 5th October 2026, Samantha became a BIID Registered Interior Designer. It is a milestone we are very proud of, and it seemed a good moment to explain what the title means and, more importantly, what it means for you as a client.
The British Institute of Interior Design is the professional body for interior designers in the UK. Its Registered Interior Designer title is the only national professional standard for interior design, so it gives clients a clear way to tell a qualified, experienced designer from someone without that background.
Registration is not simply a matter of joining. To be accepted, a designer needs at least six years of combined education and professional experience in interior design. The application includes references from other professionals, details of recent projects and a professional review, where the designer must show their understanding of the BIID’s core competencies, from design and technical knowledge through to running a project and a business properly.
After more than thirteen years of designing whole house interiors for private clients, it was rewarding to have that experience assessed and recognised by our professional body.
A recognised standard. You know your designer has been independently assessed against a national benchmark, not just judged on a portfolio.
Proper insurance. BIID Registered Interior Designers must hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance throughout their membership. On projects of the size we work on, that matters.
A code of conduct. Every Registered Interior Designer agrees to follow the BIID Code of Conduct, which covers how we work with clients, handle fees and act professionally throughout a project.
Up to date knowledge. The BIID supports ongoing professional development, from regulations and materials to sustainability, so the advice you receive reflects current best practice.
Much of what the BIID looks for is already at the heart of our studio. Every project follows a clear, staged design process, from the initial brief and electrical and lighting plans to bespoke joinery, furnishing and the final installation. Registration gives our clients independent confirmation of those standards.
You can find Samantha’s profile on the BIID website. If you are planning a whole house project and would like to talk it through, we would be delighted to hear from you. You can book a consultation here.
